Day 1Arrival Paro Int’l airport

  • Transfer to Thimphu
  • Check in & at leisure in hotel

Day 2Thimphu sightseeing

  • Following breakfast, visit Changangkha Monastery & Sangaygang viewpoint
  • Zilukha nunnery, Zorig Chosum (Painting school), National Library & Folk Heritage Museum
  • Later visit Crafts Bazaar, Handicrafts Emporium and at leisure in town.
  • Evening visit Tashichhodzong, the central secretariat building that houses the throne room and office of His Majesty the King of Bhutan.
  • Dinner & overnight Amankora

Day 3Thimphu-Punakha

  • After breakfast, visit Buddha Point for view of Thimphu valley & photography followed by a short leisure hike of appx. 1 hour in the nature trail.
  • Later visit Bhutanese Handmade Paper factory, the weaving centre and arts gallery at Chamzamtok
  • Visit to Textiles Museum
  • Check-out after lunch from the hotel
  • Transfer to Punakha across Dochula Pass (Alt. 3050 Mtrs.)
  • A short stop for Tea/coffee & photography; if weather is clear, you will have spectacular view of the snowcapped Himalayan mountain range
  • Continue drive to hotel, check-in and at leisure with the blend of nature
  • Dinner & overnight Uma Resort

Day 4Punakha Leisure

  • Following breakfast, a short hike through the green field across the bridge to Khansum Yulley Monastery, a monument built by the queen mother of Bhutan; the hike is gentle up-hill and takes appx. 45 minutes. The view of the valley from the top of the Monastery is spectacular.
  • Later drive towards Khuruthang, passing Phuntshopelri Palace and several other winter homes pf the royal family reaching the historical and impressive Punakha Dzong which straddles the confluence of the two rivers male & female rivers like an ancient ship by the This ancient fortress is the winter residence of the chief abbot and still serves as the administrative headquarters for the Punakha region. A picnic lunch is served on the banks of the Punak Chu, prior to visiting the village of Lobesa. From there, enjoy a short walk to Chimi Lhakhang, the auspicious fertility monastery built in 1499, which is regarded as a pilgrimage site for barren couple.

Day 5Punakha-Paro

  • Following breakfast, transfer to Paro
  • Enroute visit Bajo town and the ruins of Wangdiphodrang Dzong that was accidentally destroyed by fire in 2011
  • Photography stops on the way
  • Check-in at hotel for lunch
  • Later in the afternoon, visit Taa Dzong (national museum) & Rimpong Dzong followed by a visit to Paro town
  • Drive back to the hotel & evening at leisure
  • Dinner & overnight Amankora

Day 06:Hike to Takshang Monastery & sightseeing

  • Following early breakfast, visit the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong and the 8th century Kyichu Monastery
  • Later transfer to Ramthankha for hike to Takshang Monastery, which is popularly known as ‘Tiger’s Nest’.
  • On completion of this hike, transfer to the hotel and at leisure in the hotel
  • Dinner & overnight at Amankora

Day 07:Departure to KTM

  • Following early breakfast, transfer to Paro Int’l Airport for departure
